New tradition, “Matt Monday” and yup it involves gravy. If he only knew how easy this is to make…my little secret. This is practically the perfect recipe, “Oopsed Up” a bit of course! It really doesn’t get much better or much easier than this fall apart heavenly dish every single time. We serve this over mashed taters and biscuits but rice would be good too! My kitchen smells sooooo incredible right now!
What you need:
2-3 pound roast ( I use chuck/pot roast)
1 package Ranch dressing mix
1 package Italian dressing mix
1 package Brown gravy mix
(hint: if too salty, use 1/2 of each packet but we love the flavor with the full packets)
1 cup water
What to do:
Mix the 3 dry mixes together in a bowl. Pour 1 cup of water over your sprayed crock pot and roast. Sprinkle the dry ingredient mix across the top. No need to stir anything else. Place lid on and cook on low for 7-8 hours.
At the 7-ish hour mark, mix together 3 tablespoons cornstarch with 3 tablespoons water in a bowl. Add to your roast and let cook an additional hour or to thicken and create your gravy.
Note: Pork Loin Version is just as great (2-3 pounds)! Cook on low for about 5ish hours, check at the 4 hour mark. I tend to do 2 cups water for Pork then double the cornstarch/water mix to 6 Tablespoons each. Not sure why but the extra cup of water really helps to keep the Pork tender.
Perfection!!!!!!!
