About Me

I say Oops A LOT! Oops I forgot the milk, Oops I cooked the chicken way too long AGAIN. Oops I did it again should be my motto in life because I am an Oopsie type of gal for sure! Not just in the kitchen, but in life as well (different day, longer story ha ha)!

My journey with cooking and “rescuing” recipes, started a few years back when I found myself single, EEEECK, for the first time in decades. What to do with myself? I was bored and having a very big pity party for ONE. I needed a hobby and cooking seemed like a pretty hip thing to do. Low and behold, I found a love for it! I spent hours cruising the internet for all kinds of recipes, reading hundreds of reviews and then testing them out on my very hungry girlfriends. Who doesn’t love to be a tester when you are doing the cooking?

The recipes posted here have all been “Oops Proofed” and “Tasty Tested” just for you. Testing is not fun… Eating is Fun!

I hope to take the hard work out of your cooking regime. After all, following a recipe isn’t hard, right? Cooking isn’t rocket science…nope! The hard part is searching for the recipe that make your taste buds go crazy, reading the reviews for tips and tricks, add and delete, rescue then test…Repeat, Repeat, Repeat!! I found some great recipes, but also found that most of them were “oopsing” somewhere within the details.

Oops, so back to my story, I got a little side tracked (my kids would say typical).

Fast forward to now, I have a man. A hunky, hungry man who loves to eat. I call him “My Matt”. Well, because he is mine lol, and my main source of new recipe inspiration. The most important thing to know about “My Matt” is that he would be thrilled if I made a roast with biscuits and gravy every night for the rest of his life (ok, who am I kidding? He would be happy with gravy smothered on anything I cook). So, I continue on my quest for fabulous recipes, mostly without gravy, I tweak and rescue them and he eat them…happily! Matt calls them “Perfectly Oopsed”!

“My Matt”

I love “Oopsing” up a good recipe and making it my own and I love sharing my food blunders and successes. I am new at this and not perfect so all constructive advice is welcome. If you like a recipe and it looks or sounds good, please follow/ like it or leave a nice comment. If this page isn’t your cup of tea, please move along nicely. My life and world is like a warm gooey cookie and there is no room for mean spirited comments.

Thank you to a good friend for their love and support (aka lots of peer pressure) to get this page started.

Looking forward to “Oopsing” it up for y’all again and again!

Andie
